travel from cesky krumlov to frankfurt

Is there any public transportation from Cesky Krumlov to Frankfurt?

Re: travel from cesky krumlov to frankfurt

by r13

Direct- no, Cesky Krumlov is a small city.

You have to go via Prague, or via Austria- Linz. Prague is easier.

As a general rule, most small cities throughout Europe are served only by local and regional transportation. As Rolandes has stated, Prague is easily your best option, but there are some indirect options through Ceske Budejovice.

Travel Tips for Cesky Krumlov

Don't go away, stay there for a night

by Xdrive

Don't think this is a small town, and have a day trip. Stay there for a night. Because the castle and the tower will be spot light up at night. it is beauiful to see during night time, and especially it is so quiet around. This is just like a heaven on earth. But be careful when you walk out at night, sometime the drunker do trouble you. I guess they are no the local people....

An idyllic place to be!

by Roeffie

Don't ask me what this place is called I could'nt tell you, but what I do know is the fact that 'this can be a beautiful place when it's restored!

Try to see through the pile of junk and see the beauty of this place.

A complex of factory-type buildings with an elongated ground plan, situated on an island, around which flows the river Vltava with a mill race. The eastern end and the abutting part have two storeys, the rest has only one storey. Near the western end there is a wooden shelter and above the mill-race is situated a one-storey wing, originally with a wheel. Except for a jetty on two consoles at the south-eastern corner of the building, facing the river Vltava, the complex is not historically remarkable. All the sections have flat ceilings, joist ceilings or ceilings vaulted to the transverses. There is a saddle roof and above the two-storey section is a terrace. Along the mill-race is situated a wooden gallery. A chimney shaft raises up from the saddle roof.

I hope to visit again and hope it will be restored then, because someone has to see the beauty of this place!

Travel into Austria

by monkeytrousers

Travel into Austria from Cesky Krumlov is quite complex if you use buses or trains as it requires multiple changes often with a very short gap between them and takes a minimum of 5 hours and could take you the best part of a day.

By far the easiest way is to use the Pension Lobo shuttle bus to Linz where you can get a connection onto all of Austria and some other countries. The service costs a resonable 450 Kc per person and leaves at 11am each day, arriving at Linz at 12.30ish. It even picks you up from your hotel or hostel. Booking in advance is essential though.

Saltava

by nature_girl about Saltava

This is yet another restaurant in Cesky Krumlov that cooks your meat over the fireplace. Unfortunately it was too busy for us to sit in the fireplace room. We got to sit in the dark dungeon room instead (cozy, but dark!). One of the neat things about this place was the pottery they used for dishes. Garlic soup in a bread bowl

Castle gardens and rotating auditorium

by Dana_cz

When you're in the castle area, make sure you take a stroll through the large gardens. They are beautifully maintained and are especially nice to walk around on a sunny day.

Also take a look at the outdoor theatre with its famous rotating auditorium. The auditorium can be turned during a play to follow acts performed in different areas of the park.
