Lots of Character

I reserved the hotel by emailing directly - staff made it easy and was very helpful. Located right in the middle of town, the hotel is directly above a small pub and restaurant which the oldest (1429) in town. Each unique room has alot of charm. Breakfast was included, and although it smelled liked they were cooking - it only included ham, bread, cucumbers and hard boiled eggs. The hotel is owned by two young brothers who were helpful throughout. Only drawback was it was hot and there was no breeze/fan.

Unique Quality: Each unique room had original floors and some have views.

Traditional Hotel

We got 'Josef' room on the second floor with 2 single beds for 1,350 CZK include breakfast.
The room was very clean and comfortable with full of lovely old wooden furniture ( just like you stayed in your grands' room ) There wasn't a tv or mini-bar in the room.
You will find new toilet paper at the corridor every morning

The staff ( especially the man at reception---younger one ) were very friendly and helpful. He gave us an umbrella when it rainned and gave me 1 postcard of the hotel too.

Unique Quality: Hotel Na Louži is located right in the city centre, in a cosy side street to the main square. Newly renewed house from the 15th century, wooden furniture interior from years 1910 - 1930. All together 11 rooms offer comfort of three stars hotel, each room is fitted with bathroom and toilet Supplementary services, Money exchange. Restaurant in basement of the house served Czech cuisine and Eggenberg beer (brewed in Cesky Krumlov) and also parking

Pleasant old-style lodging

I've stayed at this pension twice. This is not a fancy place so don't expect any "modern gadgets" like phones, TVs or hairdryers in the rooms (however, each room does have its own batroom with shower). If you like the comfort of traditional hotels, you should probably look elsewhere.

I'd recommend Pension Na louzi for several reasons:

Service - the owners (I believe two brothers) are pleasant, personable and helpful

Location - the location right off of the town square can hardly be beat

Price - 1200 CZK for a double, including breakfast

Rooms - the 11 rooms are unique and fun. Each of them is furnished with period furniture and made to look like you're staying at your old granny's house. Each room is given an oldfashioned Czech name.
