A real Gem
We stayed in a lot of hotels in Central Europe and this was my favorite. The rooms were beautifully decorated and our room overlooked the square below. Brno was supposed to be just an overnight layer for us on the way from Prague to Budapest, but both the hotel and the town exceeded my expectations. My wife, on the other hand, thought the room was too dark and the glasses in bathroom were dirty. She wasn't as impressed. The breakfast was by far the best we had in a month. My opinion on the staff is split - the doorman, who spoke limited english was very friendly and helpful. The girl who worked the restaurant was both friendly and a very hard worker - so much so we left her an extra tip. The person behind the desk was not particularly friendly.
Unique Quality: This hotel was hard to find. Google maps doesn't cut it. We only found it by stopping in at a competing hotel to get directions. Hotel parking is very expensive, 15 euros when the square right next to it is free.
