Russian inscriptions at many places
I never saw so plenty of inscriptions in Russian outside of Russia so far.
After the end of Communism the Russian language somehow disappeared completely at most other places in Czechia (except some museums) and people would avoid speaking it...
BUT here in Karlovy Vary / Karlsbad the russian customers made a rather big percentage of the guests , since Tsar Peter the Great, who was here 1711 and 1712 .
Great architecture in Mlynska Kolonada
Take a closer look at the great architecture and the massive marble columns, that guarantee a rather cool place even on a hot summerday like the one I had in Karlovy Vary / Karlsbad in july 14th, 2003
The Bohemian SPA.
Karlovy Vary is also known by its German name Karlsbad. The holy Roman Emperor Karl IV found the healing springs in 1358. There are dozens of SPA hotels in the town nowadays.
I keep in my mind Karlsbad Xmas air -filled. This town is a one big SPA hotel. Quiet streets help visitors to sink into insouciance. Curative springs help you to become healthy. There are a lot of bars, restaurants, clubs, stores, and, certainly, sights. Isn't it awesome!
If i'll have a chance I visit Karlsbad without fail. I love this place!
