location of train station in Karlovy Vary

by inge1919

I'm getting to Karlovy Vary by bus and will then leave by train to Germany (via Cheb). Does anyone know where that train station is and how to get there???

The train station is just outside the town centre (northwest if I'm not mistaken, with a tourist office at a nearby parking) and the busstation is right next to it. So it should be no problem to get from train to bus, or walk to the centre if you have time to spare.
Have a nice trip,

Travel Tips for Karlovy Vary

There are a few things worth noticing in Karlovy Vary: Bohemian Crystal, Becherovka and traditional waffels (Oplatky).

Becherovka (a kind of herbal liqueur) is named after its inventor Josef Becher, Karlovy-Vary pharmacist.

The comprehensive spa treatment in Karlovy Vary has been based on a tradition more than 600 years old.

The core of the treatment methodology is based on a prescription of the local natural mineral water drinking cure. The unique composition of the water favours the fat and sugar metabolism and has also a positive influence on the digestive tract. In principal, the process includes a supply of ions, mineral salts and gases at a specific ratio, volume and temperature.
It produces a particular influence on the overall mineral and water management, resorption, ion transfer, deposition and secretion.

"The Spa and relaxation capital"

Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) promotes the natural springs and the healing properties of their waters amidst a backdrop of culture and natural beauty.

Whether or not you believe in the beneficial aspects of bathing in, or consuming the hot mineral waters, Karlovy Vary is worth a visit.

A beautiful town, fairly quiet between Christmas and New Year with a little snow around.

Take the time to have a Spa experience. If you are fit, take some of the mountain walks.

Be sure to at least try some of the mineral waters from the 12 natural springs in the town... personally I'd rather just bath in it or breath the steam!

Visit some of the fine restaurants; my favorite was at the Grand Pupp hotel.
