International Film Festival
by Makule
It's highly recommended to come to KV at the beginning of July, when International Film Festival takes place. City looks totally different during those few days. Every film lover from all around comes with his backpack to spent a week running a film marathon. The best runners do about 4 films a day. Together with parties, concerts, pubs it is quite exhausting but very exciting experience.

Diana Look Out Tower
by Nykaenen
Less typical but very nice way to enjoy Karlovy Vary is from Diana look out tower. The tower can be reached either on foot or by funicular (Anyone out there who thinks I went on foot? Beep! Very very wrong!!!). The funicular runs from Stara Louka just before Grandhotel Pupp. There's Jelení skok station half way up for those more fit than me, but not enough fit to do it all on foot!
Rozhledna Diana is at 556 m altitude and besides the great panoramic view offers refreshment at adjoining restaurant.
The City Theatre
by pili
The City Theatre of Karlovy Vary was built between 1884 and 1886. This renovated theatre building, built by master architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer in the Art Noveau style, is the architectural jewel of Karlovy Vary
