The name's Bond, James Bond.

Take a closer look at the grand Hotel Pupp, that great big wedding cake of a hotel that dominates the upper part of the town.
With just a little bit of 'set dressing' the hotel is clearly recogniseable and the Montenegroan casino in the latest James bond Blockbuster 'Casino Royale'. They also seem to make good use of other public rooms. whilst the casino there was filled with dodgy types who would have fitted as extras into the film ver easily, the actual poker-playing casino scenes were shot elsewhere.
Russian Orthodox church.
by hundwalder
The Russian Orthodox church of Sts. Peter and Paul was built during the late 19th. century for the many wealthy Russians who visited Karlovy Vary for spa treatments and to escape the Russian winters. Construction was completed in 1897. The architecture and art of the church are fascinating. The profound Byzantine influence is evident. The characteristic golden domes can be seen glistening from hundreds of meters away. Beatiful mosaic icons adorn the interior and exterior walls. Fascinating paintings are plentiful in the interior. The intricate designs can keep your eyes occupied for a long time.
The interior of the church is often open to the public but I don't know specific hours.
My hometown

"Where houses look like birhtday cakes"
Karlovy Vary is a cute spa town situated in the valley of Teplá river, surrounded with forests. I love my hometown because it is beautiful. :-)(Come and see!) There are many possible activities to do, e.g. sports, cinemas, town theatre, night clubs... or only walk thru city and enjoy the view.
