Grandhotel Pupp & a love-affair
by globetrott
At the end of the mainstreet in Karlovy vary / Karlsbad you will get to the most famous hotel in town.
Have a look for the great architecture and considder, that everything started with a love-affair...
...when one of the rich guests came to Karlsbad, he also had his personal cook and his pattissier ( Konditor / pastry-cook ) with him.
The pastry-cook fell in love with a lovely girl from Karlovy Vary and started his business step by step.
Trzni Kolonada
by globetrott
Trzni Kolonada was built completely of wood in 1883. It is rather small and even looks a bit poor against he other Kolonadas.
Opposite of it is Vridelni Kolonada - inside a modern building of 1975 ( Not really my taste of an interesting building, so I did not ake any pics !)
The water gets out of the well there with a temperature of 72 degrees Celsius
