Marianske Lazne (or Marienbad, as it is called in German) is one of the most famous spas of the world. Situated in the hilly region of Bohemia, its career started in the first half of the 18th century. Part of its popularity certainly derives from its famous visitor, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe who spent several summers here in his late years.
I visited Marienbad with some colleagues - it was a nice trip except for the weather which was horrible the whole day through...
