I recomend to visit Wencesla's Square where there are the St.Wencesla's Cathedral and the Romanesque Premyslide Palace. The central square (Horni namesti)is a place where there all the architectal styles meet.

Two nights in olomouc.
I am spending two nights in Olomouc shortly. I woundered if anybody had any suggestions for must see sites, and any friendly bars, nightclubs, etc.

i guess you should see the centre of the city for sure and also svaty kopecek (bus nr. 11 from main railway station). good bars are on the main square and the streets going from there...our favourite is HANACKA on the smaller square, but its more pub then a bar - but the have delicious dishes :-)

Hradisko Abbey, Domenico...
Hradisko Abbey, Domenico Martinelli, 17th Century. Founded as a Benedictine monastery in 1078 by the Premsylids, it passed to the Premonstratenisians in 1150. In 1241 the monastery was destroyed by the Tartars, and in 1643 by the Swedes. Those vandals should stick to cars.
Motorest
Restaurant on the way to/from Olomouc (approx. 5 km from Olomouc in Hradec Kralove direction). We stopped there on our way from Bohemia home and I am quite sure we will never do it again. Just a few dishes, their "nescafe" was from the automat machine (that one you put the coins in to get a coffee), their "kofola" (traditional czech soft drink) has absolutely nothing to do with the real kofola.... and the staff was... well, little weird :-)

Entrance depends on the route you want to take, 50 - 150 Kc (approx. 2-5 EUR).
Guide in foreign language available.
Salt cave
It is said that this cave is only one in Czech republic, where you can take special healing procedures with salt crystals from the Himalaya mountains and Dead Sea salt. You can also buy special lapms made from salt crystals.
Opened monday-friday 9-19:00, weekends 10-16:00.
The price for the procedure is 160 Kc (approx. 5,5 EUR)
