Krkonose
"Snezka/Krkonose National Park"
Snezka, the Czech republics highest mountain (1602 meters). Picture was taken in March 2005 when the Krkonose mountains (Giant mountains) experienced the most snow in 40 years.
Pec pod Snezkou is located at the foot of mount Snezka which seperates the Czech Republic from Poland (border runs right over it´s top). Pec is a very popular winter resort among the Czechs although international tourism (mostly Germans and Dutch at the moment) is growing at a rapid rate. Pec has several downhill slopes, but most of all it´s an excelent place to start cross-country ski trips into the Krkonose national park.
