Hello all.
I'm planning to go from Cesky Krumlov to Plzen to break up the route to Karlovy Vary.
Just wondering how much time is enough in Plzen? I was thinking about taking in the brewery while i was there. It would be foolish not to i think :)
So, if you can advise, i'm thinking one night myself at the moment and then leaving but if anyone can recommend a reason why to stay for maybe 2 nights then i would be interested to hear it :)

If you want to visit more than one brewery and get stoned???
So Plzen is a good place for drugs aswell as drink then i take it.
No there wont be more than one brewery involved.
At the moment i'm thinking of staying for one night only.
Any advice anyone?
Anything special in the place?
I enjoyed a lot on Brewery tours and tasted 12 Pilsner beer from old-fashioned wooden vats. The current capacity of the line is 36 thousand bottles in volumes between 0.33 l and 0.5 l per hour or else 30 thousand bottles in a volume of 0.66 l per hour.
Sejbl & Hurvinek are very popular marionettes - a creation of a local puppeteer named Josef Skupa ( 1892-1957).
These little sculptures may be seen in the park around the street "Safankovy-sady", or you may as well see them in many souvenir-shops in all sizes and lots of variations.
This is one of the most beautiful fassades of the buildings on the main square.
It is on top of one of the 4 great buildings next to the bishop-palace, and in case you are
searching for a " ATM-machine " or " Bancomat " - you will find it in this building !
I have to admit : THIS was MY favorite place to go in Plzen !
From outside it looks rather like a theatre and it is built opposite the public library and the big park and fountain. They have great espresso as well as beer and a great menu !
Across St Bartolomew church on the town square you'll find the town hall, with the St Mary's Plague memorial.
This statue was built in 1681 , just one year after Plzen was saved from the Plague
In 1714 the statues of St. Bartholomew, St. Wenceslas, St. Frantisek Xaversky, St. Ruzena, St. Antonin, St. Roch, St. Barbora and St. Florian were added around the memorial.
