where is this pub?

you talk about this pub and i`m going there at the end of may with some friends, we have read your post and all NEED to go there. so i`m wondring if you could tell me what the name of this pub is? or even better street name? but just the name should be ok.

I am guessing you have seen a tip about a pub on the Plzen pages?
The best thing would be to email the member who wrote the tip. Click their username, and you'll find an 'email me' link under their phot.
Not all members visit VT regularly, so it would be a good idea to post the link to the tip here (and its title), so other VT-ers can have a look and see if they know which pub it is.

Associations with beer

If you mention city of Plzen, at least in Lithuania, no one will know it for its synagogue or town hall, but almost all will associate it with beer producing. Firstly, the name of beer type “pilsener” is quite known around, it is, sure, very similar to name of city itself. Other reason to associate Plzen with beer is two breweries “Pilsner Urquell” and “Gambrinus” – these are quite old ones, working and making educational programs about beer, so beer lovers try to find time to visit these places.

...if you have an important exam to pass! At the back side of St. Bartholomew's church, there is a little luck-bringing device. You'll see people heading to an enclosure where they quickly touch a little angel. According to my host, this is supposed to bring luck. There are several angels on the fence of the enclosure, so don't choose the wrong one!
(Hint: It shouldn't be too hard finding the right angel - it's almost polished white by all those touching it!)
The Westbohemian Museum

The Westbohemian Museum shows plenty of paintings and local works of art from the medieval times until the 20th century.
Inside this wonderful building photography is forbidden... :-((
The museum is open tuesday till friday :
10.00 a.m. - 06.00 p.m.
saturday 10.00 a.m. - 01.00 p.m.
and sunday 09.00 a.m. - 05.00 p.m.
and all these days they will have a lunch-break, so the ticket-box will be closed for 30 minutes
at lunchtime
Palazinki

The restaurant is rather big and able to serve hundreds of people at the same time, as they are accustomed to get busloads of people visiting the brewery... I am not sure about the right spelling, but Palazinki are the best desert in the Czech republic - you might call them pancakes, and they come filled with jam or fresh fruits sometimes also with ice-cream like here in Plzen in the brewery ( also about 2 $ )
Brewery Museum

This museum details the history of brewing beer with specific reference to the Czech region. There are also exhibitions devoted to beer bottles, beers role in Czech and world culture and the science of beer amongst others as well as a reconstruction of a Bohemian bar at the turn of the 20th Century. The entrance fee also includes a free drink in the bar next door.
