Hotel Prince de Ligne: The charm of past times

The 4star hotel boasts a tradition of 180 years - and you can almost feel it anywhere in the hotel. In 1991 the hotel was completely reconstructed in old style. I liked the ambience very much - traditional, quiet, old style furniture, the wonderful views of the square with castle and two churches.

Staff was friendly, spoke German (and I am sure a bit of English at least) and helpful. The room was a double for me alone, equipped with all the modern stuff you expect like cable-TV, tel, radio etc. The bathroom was rather small, but functional.

The food was Bohemian as well as some international specialties. I tried local Bohemian food and was pleased. Nothing exceptional, though. Breakfast buffet was very good with a good variety of cereals, fruits, etc. I had ham and eggs which was good. I did not like the bread/rolls as usual in the Czech Rep.
