These guest cottages are an interesting alternative to a conventional hotel or B&B, especially when tourgroup(s) ace you out of conventional accommodation. The free-standing cottages have a tiny bedroom, a shower/WC, a living room with TV, a kitchen with refrigerator, and a loft with 2 extra beds. This could work quite well with small families -- I bet young boys and girls would especially love the loft. Be aware this type of accommodation is designed primarily for Danes, not foreign tourists -- though the management was quite tolerant with us as we made several "rookie mistakes." With the package we had, breakfast was included and served at the Hotel Ærøhus. A cottage costs between DKK 500-800 per night or DKK 2000-4000 per week, depending on season and type of package. When we went (June 2006), the cottage cost DKK 660 per night. Sheets and towels can be rented for DKK 75 per person per night. Depending on the package you choose, you may be required to clean the cottage. Electricity and water also might not be included. Be sure to clarify what is expected of you and what the charges will be when you check in.

by Liolio There are 2 hotels in Aeroskobing. One of them Hotel Aerohus is on the main street - Vestergade 38. I think it is the best hotel in Aeroskobing, in summer offering dining in the large garden, live music on weekends, also having tennis courts. If you look for a cheaper hotel there is one in street Smedegate 33 called Det Lille Hotel. Lying 90m (295 ft.) from the ferry and harbor, it looks more like a private cosy home than an official hotel. There is also a pension in the main street Vestergade 44 offering B&B. However the prices in these accomodations are not so cheap, they have not so many rooms there. So the good alternative could be camping (address Sygehusvejen 40B), situated very close to the sea, perfect place for families or those loving to swim, surf or just to enjoy the calm and sea. There are places for tents, caravans as well as the small rented wooden houses in the camping. If you are planning to stay for a bit longer time, there are privately rented houses.

old houses by travelife There are youth hostels and and quite a few bed & breakfasts and should be booked in advance since this is a popular summer destination among the Danes. No particular place is mentioned here but places can be booked online or through Danish tourist offices. Theme: Pension/Guesthouse
