Well, this is not really a travel tip, but here you'll have a chance to have a view of the center of Odense, with a webcam placed on the city hall building...

Carrying on towards the river
by ATLC
We quickly found ourselves surrounded by typical Scandinavian houses in soft pastel colours in quaint old streets.
We walked via Bangs Boder, Overstraede, crossed at Overgade towards Paaskergade (Easter street).
Denmarks new hockeytown
by Dee22
If you are a hockeyfan visiting Odense during the hockeyseason (September-April), you gotta come see the Odense Bulldogs play a homegame.
The Danish hockey league may not be known as a top league in Europe, but through the last 4-5 years, Danish hockey has developed much, and has a pretty good level of play due to strong foreign players and success with the national team.
Odense is one of the youngest clubs in Denmark, but after the opening of the new national arena in Odense, the team has developed into the heavy favorite over the last couple of years, but has still yet to win it's first ever championship.
The city's two icehockey arenas are connected, and the new one holds more than 3.200 spectators.
Drop by for a Friday nights game, and the arena will probably be full, so be there at least 30 minutes before the game starts to buy your tickets, which are not too expensive. The arena is a combination of seats and stands, and it's always a show to watch a game with light and smoke-effects as the players enter the ice...
Game nights are usually Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and you'll be able to watch a national team game sometimes too.
Be sure to check out my unofficial website in english for the game schedule, news and much more...
The city hall and 'Flakhaven'
by Dee22
The city hall of Odense is a nice looking buidling and the square named 'Flakhaven' in front of it is often the base for some activities - mostly in the summer period.
Here you'll find thousands of flowers during the annual 'flower festival', you can watch boxers or dancers during the annual 'sports night' or enjoy yourself on one of the 'Odense by night' days. The square is naturally also the base for some demonstrations against political subjects throughout the year.
In the summer you can sit here and enjoy the sun while you watch the people pass by, and during the Christmas-period you'll find the city's 'official' Christmas-tree here.
Visit the listed website to see a live webcam from the city hall square...
Pancakes and Icecream
by Obak81 about Gelato
Gelato offers good italian Ice cream, and pancakes with different fillings. Furthermore you can get coffee etc. Pancake with chocolate, banana and coconut (30 kr.), really nice dish on those cold winter days. In the summertime the ice cream is quite good (my favorite is the pistachio).
