A great choice for a longer stay.

Booked online we got an amazing price of $116.00 a night...later we noted the price had more than doubled ,so must have been a special.
We are really enjoying our stay. Nice and quite spacious rooms with balcony...also a micro wave , and fridge which is wonderful. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the train and the little mermaid.Took the train to Osterport Station and it was a 10 min walk to the hotel also only 10 min walk to The Little Mermaid. We bought a few things in the little grocery store around the corner for a coupe of quick breakfasts and some wine and beer to toast our arrival in Copenhagen .

Unique Quality: Loved having a little kitchen.

Excellent Choice!

by TripAdvisor Member lutterell

Booked the Adina after seeing the reviews posted here and was not disappointed with my choice!

Firstly, getting to the hotel from the Airport. Definitely the train is the way to go. Take the train from Copenhagen Airport to Østerport. There is a train every 10 minutes or so. When you exit the airport, turn left and left again, walking down alongside the station. Keep walking on that road and the hotel is on the right hand side.

The hotel is of a very high standard. It feels more like staying in a large hotel suite than an apartment. We stayed in a two-bedroomed suite for three nights. In the room was a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, stove, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, plus all cutlery, dishes and utensils. There were then two adequate sized bedrooms, (one with en suite), a sofa bed, a separate bathroom, balcony, as well as a CD player and TV in the living room and TV's in each of the bedrooms.

The breakfast each morning was great with everything you needed to keep you going. We tried Otto's restaurant for dinner which was fine - nothing really special (There are some fantastic restaurants down in the city - Nyhaven in particular!).

The pool was always deserted, leaving for a very relaxing time in the leisure facilities. However, the jacuzzi was quite cold and seemed to be on a timer which turned on randomly - it would be better if you could turn it on when you wanted to, rather than waiting for it to decide when! Also, the pool is a salt-water pool which isn't the nicest if you unfortunately take a gulp of water by accident!!

Sara on reception was extremely helpful throughout the stay and ensured that we were always looked after! Well done!

All in all it was a great hotel which I would highly recommend!

feels like home!

by TripAdvisor Member designloverFlanders

We went to Copenhagen in order to visit our daughter, who is studying there. What we needed, was a place where we could feel at home. Adina was everything we could have dreamt of.
We took the Refresher Package (find it on the hotel website) : the one bedroom apartment, fully equiped kitchen, breakfast buffet included.
The apartment was comfortable, we had the opportunity to cook a home meal for our daughter and her boyfriend, in a cosy atmosphere away from the weekend crowds at restaurants. And after the meal, we didn't have to face the cold and rain to return home! Being an older couple, we greatly appreciated that.

A great hotel, would definitely recommend

A great hotel all round - check-in was quick and friendly, apartment room we had was spacious and modern, everywhere spotlessly clean, nice powerful hot shower as well as bath which was very welcome when we arrived, 5 mins walk from train station at osterport which is just one or two stops from copenhagen centre and goes every few minutes. Having the extra space with living/ kitchen area gave great flexibility with eating and relaxing during the day. I took ages to decide when we were looking for a hotel and really am glad we chose Adina.

Good hotel, poor location for tourists

by TripAdvisor Member des&patricia

Visited Copenehagen with my family ( my wife and two teenage daughters) to take in the Christmas markets at Tivoli. First the good things about this hotel.
Rooms are very well apointed, flat screen TVs with a good selection of channels in every room, hotel is absolutely spotless, kitchen has everything you would want, beds big and comfy, we had a 2 bedroom apartment which had one en suite and another shared bathroom. Buy your provisions at the Netto next door ( cash only ) its v good value. The staff at the Adina are bright, polite and v friendly they could not be more helpful. But all of these things one would expect from a hotel charging Adina prices.
Issues about this hotel as follows.
Main issue is the location, its 20 minutes to the edge of town, another ten to get to the city centre and Tivoli gardens are an hours walk. Main problem for us is that we like to do the tourist stuff and then return for a shower / change before dinner. This would have meant about 2 hours walking a day. So we caught taxis which are 80 DKK from town.
Also the hotel is next to a main road and railway line, apart from the awful view, there is noise intrusion from cars and trains.
During our stay we found no bars or restaurants local to the hotel, apart from one outrageously expensive place ( Americana??) with a limited menu. If you want dinner, and you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant, you have to go into town.
There is a half decent hotel bar, but they insist of having a TV blaring away which is a really irritating back drop to what could be a quiet drink at the end of an evening.
Copenhagen is a wonderful city at Christmas. Absolutley loved the Christmas market at Toivoli gardens a real highlight of our travels in Europe. It was our first visit to Copenhagen and we enjoyed it so much we will go back to see it in the summer, but due to the location we will not stay at the Adina.

Great Hotel & Great transport

by TripAdvisor Member twiglet333

What can I say...this hotel exceeded our expectations...okay so its not in the centre of town but the no 26 bus leaves for town every 7 mins approx, and thats just a 100m walk from the hotel and the train which is just along from the hotel too leave every cpl of mins to the centre. Also train goes to airport so very handy in that sense too.

Hotel was clean, staff were brilliant, food was good, especially breakfasts, would highly recommend them. Rooms were clean and so handy to have a kitchen, Netto next door your all set. The pool was great, if a little cold...but a great amenity to have all the same.

Copenhagen itself is a beautiful city, very very expensive though, cost us £40 for seven soft drinks in a cafe in the square, so take plenty of money!!!

Would definately go again and will be using Adina. Well done.

Haven with a pool

by TripAdvisor Member Ian_Denton

Delighted with our short (Saturday to Monday) stay at the Adina. Great room (space - comfort - even opening windows for fresh air) and good breakfast: stuff that was meant to be hot was hot and the bacon not turned to charcoal. Yes, it's a bit out of the city centre but it's close (less than 10 minutes) to the Little Mermaid which is on the main walking route: we got the train back. The area is a redeveloped dock: now entirely residential and business, and when we were there clearly quiet and safe. We used a CPH Card, that prepays all travel on the trains, metro and buses and offers free admissions and discounts: the convenience of getting clean, reliable (predictable to the minute) transport around greater Copenhagen was excellent - and we got back to the Adina whenever we wanted for the pool and sauna.

Brilliant place to stay! *****

by TripAdvisor Member Annalese

Me and my friend stayed at the Adina for a long weekend at the beginning of November 2007. The cheap studio room was the innital attraction, and all of the good reviews on this website. I was expecting no more than what I paid for, but, WOW, we were blown away!

Arrived at the hotel early but they let us check in anyway, PLUS we got a complimentary room upgrade. The room was amazing, modern, clean, spacious, couldn't have asked for better.

The staff were super friendly and gave great advice on things to do. The location of the hotel was perfect too, just a few minutes train ride away from the centre of Copenhagen, but I totally recommend renting one of the bikes from the hotel.

Copenhagen was amazing, even in November, staying at the Adina definately added to the experience. I recommend it to anyone.

Loved this hotel!

by TripAdvisor Member angelastubbs

My husband and I have just got back from three nights at Adina. We loved it. It was very clean, full of Danish style and great staff.
As everyone else has said, yes, it is about 25 mins walk into town, but very close to the trains station, and to be honest we liked the walk in and out... always felt safe and it is such a pleasant area.
Room excellent as already reported.... just be careful with the tempting mini-bar items all over the room... before I knew it I had started eating the world's most expensive packet of peanuts and hadn't realised they weren't complimentary!
Breakfast in Otto's is great, a fantastic selection, and for us it was complimentart even though when I enquired they said it wasn't... so ask.
We had a great dinner in Otto's too, although it was nice to eat out in town the other nights.

All in all a great place, didn't get to the pool but it looked lovely - small but would have been good to have unwound there, if my husband had remembered his swim trunks!

Lots of good points but nothing to get excited about

by TripAdvisor Member zanetti

Most of the points others make are true - nice, spacious, clean rooms, in fact the entire hotel was very clean. Photos on Expedia are very accurate and represent the hotel well. Distance from the centre of town isn't really a problem as the number 26 bus is an excellent service and stops close to the hotel. The train station is a good 15 minute walk, although the desk staff insisted it took only 5 minutes.
In fact, the staff were the only real problem with this hotel. They were friendly enough, just not helpful. We asked for help on a number of occasions and they couldn't provide an answer other than give us the name of a take-away food shop when we asked for restaurant suggestions and recommended we take the train because the station was closer than the bus stop.
To be fair, we were allowed to check in early and they let us retain the room for an hour longer than the 10 am check-out time. They also looked after our bags all day after we did check out.
As for travelling in the city, buy yourself a Copenhagen Card and take the bus (it's valid for the train too). It doesn't take any longer to travel over town and you see a lot more.
One final point - if you are staying in the Adina on the weekend be aware the restaurant/bar closes mid-afternoon for the day on a Sunday and there are no other restaurants in the area (apart from one very expensive one)..
Overall, I would probably stay here again. Just wouldn't want to rely on the staff to provide me with any helpful information.

Great place to stay

by TripAdvisor Member Globetrottersx2

Stayed at the Adina Apartments in Copenhagen for 3 nights. Had a great experience. The desk & restaurant staff were friendly & helpful. The accommodations were top notch. The walk from the train station was not too far and there's a grocery store right at the corner of the hotel. You can very easily get to the city walking tour route--and the Mermaid statue is nearby. Breakfast was included in the price of our room and was very good, with a large selection of hot items each morning. We'll definitely stay here again.

Hi - I can't recommend something specific for Copenhagen, but I've had good lucking renting in US/Europe through and Have a great time!

Re: 2 bedroom apartment or suite for a family

Holiday apartments in Copenhagen are usually not rented out for less than a week.

I don't understand your budget figures. Why SEK? Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and in Denmark we use Danish Kroner (DKK).

Re: 2 bedroom apartment or suite for a family

by hayleyoz

Ah, sorry about the currency - I was in the middle of trying to find a hotel in Stockholm at the same time :)

We're probably looking more for hotel suites than apartments.

Many thanks for your response

Re: 2 bedroom apartment or suite for a family

Most hotel suites in Copenhagen only have 1 bedroom (some offer extra beds).

Adina Apartment Hotel Copenhagen offers 1 & 2 bedroom suites, but not in the heart of Copenhagen, 15 minutes from city centre

Ascot Apartments is in the heart of Copenhagen but not luxury

Copenhagen Marriott Hotel is on the harbour front and within walking distance to the city centre
