Quality is there... but not the location
The hostel is located out in the sticks.
Split between 3 building the accommodation varies from normal 4 bed dorms through to private ensuite rooms. There are 2 lounges for TVs and free internet (a bit slow though and one terminal).
The choices to get out of there are you can walk out to the main rd 200m for a bus. Which is every 1/2 hr it seems. Or you can walk the 1km to the railway station. ( I wouldn't at night though as area does seem a bit dark and quiet)
Stayed here as it was he starting accomodation of the Contiki tours for Scandi & Russia.
Unique Quality: The hostel is within what used to be an old army training barracks.

Cheap, close and cosy...
At 10 km´s outside the citycentre of Copenhagen, in the suburb called Hvidovre, you´ll find a huge old military centre of barracks. In two of these barracks the Hostel of Belaegningen is located.
The location is very nice: it´s quiet, it´s looks really nice (very Danish) and staying here is very cheap too. We had the advantage of having a car when we stayed here, so we didn´t have the of transportation towards the centre, but even if you don´t have a car that won´t be a problem.
Unique Quality: The prices are very good: we paid about 60 euro´s for 4 persons which is really cheap.
Only disadvantage is the fact that in the period we stayed here, they didn´t serve breakfast here. But well... we had a nice breakfast in Copenhagen instead, so that is to be overcome.

Out of the main Centre .. surounded by fields. Very plush and clean .. plus the most comfortable beds.
