Please help with Transportation Info/metro/bus/train/etc. CPH Card ?

by itchie75

We arrive at Copenhagen airport and are staying at (CABINN Scandinavia)in the Frederiksberg District in the City Center for 2 days. We will also need transportation to the Freeport Cruise Ship terminal. We saw online information about a "Clipboard of tickets for 10 trips" is this good for all -train/metro/bus and City-Circle??? We assume the Clipboard is only for transportation and good for several days. Is each ticket just for a zone?
or time -like one hour? ALSO should buy a 24 hour CPH Card for other reasons like free admission to museums and many other "places" along with discounts for restaurants etc.
Thanks so much for any help you can provide Deb & Rich
Sort of confused on best way

Airport to CABINN Scandinavia:
Take Metro from the airport metro station to Forum metro station.
Walk from Forum metro station to CABINN Scandinavia, Vodroffsvej 55.
Allow about 6 min., Distance: approx. 0,4 km.

CABINN Scandinavia to Freeport Cruise Terminal:
Walk to Forum metro station.
Take Metro to Nørreport metro station.
Walk from Nørreport metro station to Nørreport train station. Allow about 5 min. to get there.
Take S-train to Nordhavn station.
Walk to Freeport Cruise Terminal. Allow about 14 min., Distance: approx. 1,1 km.

Clipcards are available for a different number of zones (2 up to all zones) for 10 trips on all trains/metros/buses. Clipcards do not expire. Each clip on the card is valid for trips inside these zones for a limited time, e.g. 2-3 zones: 1 hour.

Airport to the city is 3 zones. City to Freeport Cruise Terminal and within the city is 2 zones. You need to punch the required number of zones for your travel, e.g. 2 persons need to travel 3 zones and have a clipcard for 2 zones - it can be done by punching 3 clips on the 2-zone clipcard.

Normal fares:
2 zones: DKK 23
3 zones: DKK 34.50

Clipcard for 2 zones: DKK 135

Whether cOPENhagen CARD is of value to you depends on how much you intend to utilise the free admissions and discounts.

Travel Tips for Copenhagen

General information

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

Copenhagen is located on the coast of Oresund passage. Therefore bridges and channels are an indispensable part of a local landscape. New city area Frederiksberg and 26 nearest communities enter in the structure of Big Copenhagen, besides the historical center ("old" Copenhagen).

The main railway station Hovedbanegarden/Kobenhavn is located in the center, near to Radhuspladsen (Town Hall square). It is the major transport unit of the city, trains and buses of all directions whence send. There is the largest entertaining park Tivoli near the station.

Receiving Mail

by aliante1981

Everybody (well, almost!) likes receiving letters - I certainly do, though there are other, more modern and efficient means of communication - e-mail, phone, and such like. However, if you simply like getting letters or if you need, say, the originals or paper copies of some documents sent to you while you are on the move, you can use the poste restante service. Your best bet is to use the American Express service, which is available for free to clients - you should hold either their card or travellers cheques. They are reliable and present in all major cities.

Copenhagen Tip

by twiggy27

My memory of Copenhagen are the bikes that everyone has. If you are biking with children you have a wagon on the front of your bike, like a gypsey wagon. Some men even carries women in theirs!! The bikes are also very old fashioned which suprised me, compared to our range of bikes here in the UK.
