A Place with Character

As Allan (TheView) correctly pointed out, it did occur to me that if I wrote about this little gem next time I would like to stay there, there would be no room for me! Worse than that Rasmus' (Razmatac) father would not find a place, which is unfair. It was Rasmus who proposed this accommodation in the first place. The truth is I could not keep this lovely authentic little place as a secret.

The fact that there is a common bathroom and common kitchen did not bother me at all. But such things do not bother me in general, especially if they are as clean and well looked after as chicken's is.

The room was lovely and big as you can see from the picture, looking at the courtyard where Morten hangs his laundry Italian style. There are rooms overlooking the street too but this one was fine for me as I love quiet nights.

The pension is situated centrally and only 7 min away from the Stroget, the main pedestrian street of Copenhagen and within walking distance to most of the museums and main attractions plus a few min walk away from Christiania.

Right across it there is Lagkagehuset's bageri, one of the best Copenhagen bakeries with a huge variety of yummy sweets and pastries, good coffee and excellent drinking chocolate.

I left Morten himself last at it is due to him, his easy going personality and his work that this place is so special! Isn't this obvious from his advertising postcard?

Unique Quality: WARNING: Do not expect swimming pools, spa, sauna, massage, television etc. If you are looking for things like that you've knocked the wrong door!
