Central location just a few 100 meters away from The Central Station, Tivoli, City Town Hall and the main shopping street, only 20 minutes from Bella Center, 25 minutes from the airport by train and 45 minutes from Malmoe city center. Only one disadvantage - lack of fridge
My husband and I had a very nice quick weekend in Denmark. We went to Copenhagen by plane from Oslo.
It took just 50 minutes .
Arriving there , we had to exchange some money. We took some notes of 200 danish crowns. We wanted to take the bus to town , the busdriver was so rude to us... , he did not accept 200 for the ride. So we had to exchange again and pay the public transportations with coins. Of course we took another bus.
I confess I got disappointed cause the Danish people are known by their friendly hospitality.
We did not book any hotel , we arrived at the central station and walked to one of the nearest hotel called Comfort Hotel Excelsior. Very nice with friendly clerk and not expensive.
We went to TIVOLI , a very old amusement park full of restaurants and nice activities from ballet to jazz shows. It is full of gardens and flowers.
I loved that place though I dont like amusement parks...
A nice tip , go to the supermarket and buy wine and cheese to take home. It is cheap and they have a nice variety.
We walked everywhere , and of course ate the famous and delicious danish pastries.
I wanted to resist and keep my diet but I could not.
Another tip , renting bikes is very nice cause Denmark is flat and there are cycle vias with traffic lights everywhere. If you have more time and want to keep fit it is VERY worth it.
I have never seen so many strip tease houses. There is a sex museum too. We did not go there , but I guess it is interesting.
Well , I enjoyed a lot.
Dont hesitate to ask for any info about Copehagen.
