In 2009 I stayed in Copenhagen Plaza hotel.
The Copenhagen Plaza is a luxurious 4-star hotel built in 1913 at the instigation of King Frederik VIII. The Copenhagen Plaza boasts an excellent position - just opposite Central Station with all its convenient transport connections and just 12 minutes from the airport. Also it is a walking distance to the old town.
Unique Quality: The room was really big and I liked the small balcony. The bathroom had a window that I liked too. Good breakfast.

Sofitel Plaza
The Plaza is a 4-star hotel and it shows: the architecture is pretty chic, as are the service and inhouse amenities. The location is perfect: next to Tivoli and all forms of transport. Everything else is only a short trip away. Nothing to complain there!
The rooms are well-equipped if a little noisy: the location opposite the central railway station in a business district doesn't offer a lot of silence nor the nicest views: ours overlooked the industrial-type courtyard. That said, if your view offers Tivoli you're okay!
It's definitely not cheap (Copenhagen in general unfortunately isn't), but we had a great weekend offer so it pays to check out the website. In the price info on this page I posted the "normal" rates.
Unique Quality: Apart from a pretty funky pillar in the lobby with little plaques of all the famous guests, the Plaza's main draw are a lovely restaurant: Flora Danica and a beautiful old-world style bar: The Library. Sitting here with a drink and smoking a cigar really takes you back to a long-lost and more genteel age!
