The Square, the Strand, the Centrum Hotels, etc.
Hi,
My name is Eliza and I will be traveling to Copenhagen at the end of September (21-28) this year. I have been advised that "The Square" hotel is a great place to stay. It looks amazing; however, I am a grad student and therefore have a limited budget. I noticed that other hotels that are listed as being 3 stars, like the Square, are somewhat less expensive yet still located in the city center.
Can someone tell me how "the Strand", "Ibsens", and "Hotel Centrum" compare to the Square hotel? If none of the above listed are comparable to the Square, could you suggest another place?
If possible, rank your choices, so that I have a few to choose from.
Oh and feel free to include great places to eat :)

the sqare is brand new and that is probaply why it's expensive.
ibsens is very nice and it has a superb location.
centrum is not nearly as good as the other 2.
if you can get ibsens for a better deal than the square then go for that.

I've done some checking and well, the "Strand" is the best way to go, price-wise and it also appears to be in a good location. How does this place compare to Ibsens?

the strand probaply has the best location of any hotel in copenhagen.
it's also a very nice hotel.
don't think twice about booking there if they have a good deal.

I've only stayed in other ones to these. My favourite is Admiral which had a summer deal the other day when m husband and I had a baby sitter and he picked me up from the office :-)

Hi, Eliza!
I havent stayed at the Square , or the others,
But, I have stayed at the the Ibis Copenhagen Star,
Ansgar, Cab-inn, DGI-Byens, and the Radisson.
For the price, quality and location by the train station,
the Star is a pretty good deal.
Now if your budget is more limited than that ,
I've done the Rick Stevens thing, crashed at the Cab-Inn,
been there done that.. it works,but for a little bit more
you can stay at the Star.
All that being said, I'm off to Copenhagen this week
and may try the Square just for a change!
