The hotel was still suffering some "shake down" problems that resulted from the remodel why we were there. When these minor problems are corrected, this will be a completly modern hotel with great ammenities.
We booked the hotel under the former name at existing prices. I would guess that the price will increase when work is complete.
The location, just far enough Nyhavn to escape the noise, is great. The water taxi to the Opera and beyond is just down the street around the corner.
The new Playhouse, currently under construction, is almost adjacent.
The streets between the hotel and Nyhavn have restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, etc. that are not frequented by those enjoying the atmosphere of Nyhavn. The nearby Magasin department store has a great grocery.
It is an area that can serve as a great base while in Copenhagen. The metro at Kongyns Nytorv gets you to most places and is being extended to the airport. A little planning connects with the S trains that get you everywhere including the central station.
