Simple and fair

Good (3.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on November 10, 2014

We had a two-nights' stay at the Hotel Copenhagen. Due to heavy rain we spent more time in our hotel room than foreseen.

It wasn't very spacious though, but ok for the price (which was rather high, but economic for Danish price standard).

Unique Quality: Maybe there's no unique quality at Hotel Copenhagen, but from the fourth floor or higher you may get a fairly nice view to the nearest kebab place ; )

Directions: Quiet area, perfect for people who prefer to have access to some greener city areas (the Amager field / woods nearby are really nice)

Fair priced budget hotel

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)

I stayed three nights in May at the Hotel Copenhagen and it was a clean, efficient, well run hostel. Not the cheapest place for backpackers but the rooms are cute, there is free internet access and the staff are knowledgeable.

Unique Quality: Located across the bridge that connnects to Hans Christian Anderson's road, the hotel is actually in the Icelandic section of Copenhagen and the hotel is owned and managed by Icelandic people. There is no curfew and in the summer there is a lively bar area where people hang out with beer and music.

Directions: Island Brygge section
Central Station to Hotel Copenhagen:
Bus nr. 40 - exit at Artillerivej

The Square (Radhusplatsen) to Hotel Copenhagen:
Bus nr. 12 (direction Lufthavnen)
Bus nr. 33 (direction Ørestad St.)
