Fantastic design, unfriendly staff

The Arne Jacobsen designed hotel is a pleasure for the eye, but not so much for the guest.
My single room was very small, and very far from my expectations to a 5* hotel. Front desk staff was unfriendly, and almost rude.
Breakfast is very expensive. However, access to a well equipped in-house health club and gym is free.

Unique Quality: Nice views, stunning design.

Nice Large Chain Hotel

We were in Copenahgen for 2 days before our Baltic cruise. The Radisson is a lovely hotel who's decor well represents its location. Nothing here is going to WOW you, but overall it's a very nice stay.

Unique Quality: The 20th floor restaurant provides a nice panoramic view of Copenhagen. The breakfast bufffet was served here.

COpenhagens Central Hotel

I was very sceptical about booking this hotel as it was very expensive...but, everything else on Tripadvisor didnt have good reviews. Finally a friend of mine who had also been here also recommended I just booked it. The hotel was bang in the center...opposite Tivoli gardens and it does not get any central than that. The single room i booked was decent. Not huge, but, good enough and comfortable. I stayed for 2 nights and even used the gym which was fabulous. Breakfast was great but it closes at 10:30 so if you are a late sleeper keep that in mind, otherwise dont book your stay with breakfast. Its a walk away from the central station so, just get to the central station from the airport and in 5 mins you'll be here. They fortunately gave me a room on the 18th floor which had an excellent view..so, I quite enjoyed it.

Unique Quality: free wifi, central location

next door to both the Railway Station and Tivoli

This visit was a long weekend, which meant I had to have an early check in to the hotel. There no problems with this, although it is fair to say it was a visit made at the end of February, when it was cold and snowy. I imagine that in the summer it may be more difficult to ask for this option.

The hotel does a good, standard grand buffet breakfast as the case with most Radisson SAS hotels - excellent meat and bakery products available.

The staff are friendly and professional.

Unique Quality: This was interesting, as there was a room thermostat that actually worked, the windows also opened, even though I was on the 13th floor.

The one really unique thing was that I was given a room which had a single bed - this is in fact the first time I have been in one of their hotels and encountered this. I must admit it was very comfortable and I did have several good nights of sleep.

The hotel opened in 1960, and was in fact the world's first "design hotel". Arne Jacobsen, the Danish Architect, designed the building and much of the interior. One notable design achievemnt is the design of the "Egg" and "Swan" chairs.

Well placed in the centre of the city, close to the Tivoli. 260 rooms with meals available in the Alberto K gourmet or the Café Royal.

Great Service, decent hotel

Recommend it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Upgraded from basic room to a junior suite at no extra charge. Husband told them it was our honey moon and they arranged for complimentary champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries to be delivered to our room. Room was spacious with a bathroom and also another separate toilet across from the bathroom. Only complaint is that I don't think the hotel had been renovated in a while as we arrived during a snow storm and the window was leaking water into the room. Otherwise this hotel was great.
