    I have stayed at the hotel several times in the past, both on business and on long weekends. The hotel is comfortable and has a very wide range of amenities for all guests.

    The rooms facing the city have a wonderful view - and you can just about manage to take photrographs without a refelction.

    The fitness centre has a pool and sauna aswell as squash courts. Watch out for the early closing at weekends!

    The bars and restauarnts are good fun - especially the bar and restaurant way up on the 25th floor. "The Dining Room" Bar and Restaurant may be a bit pricey but well worth it.

    • Conference type place, but OK. Typical Radisson SAS. Reliable version, but not outstanding. Prefer the Royal in CPH, or Daugava in Riga, or the Brussels one, or even the Amsterdam one...

    Location is a bit strange, on edge of city centre. Nice views tho'. Bus service to airport.

    Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel is the largest hotel in Denmark with 542 rooms.
    It clearly dominates the skyline of the otherwise rather flat Copenhagen. Funnily the second highest building in Copenhagne is the other Radisson SAS hotel called Royal.
    The top floors of this hotel have excellent views of downtown Copenhagen, the island where the airport is located (called Amager) and the strait over Oresund.

    The service was overall very good.
    There are plenty of restaurants in the hotel (I think about 10) and then there is of course room service. The breakfast buffet was large and extensive.
    There is also a fitness centre with gym and a pool available for guests although the pool was a bit small and the water rather cold.

    The rooms are nicely decorated in different themes, if you arrive early you may get the chance to select the room type of your choice (I stayed in an oriental room).
    The only disadvantage is that the hotel is not very centrally located, but that was never really an issue to me.
    You can walk to the main city centre in 10-15 minutes and there are many busses passing right outside the hotel.
    The railway station (where the airport trains leave and arrive) is 10 mins walk from the hotel, so is the attraction park Tivoli where many people choose to spend an evening in the summer.
    I never saw the location as a problem, but it's good to be aware of the location in advance.

    • Hotel is pretty big with over 400 rooms but everything was runned in an efficient and professional manner. The lobby and reception area is modern and clean and our standard room is quite big for European standards with a queen-size bed and a sofa bed for a third person. The dining area where we ate dinner and breakfast, was also large and service was smooth although the breakfast buffet was better than dinner. Overall, had a pretty good stay and sights were walking distance from the hotel as well as the airport being just 15 minutes away. Being such a huge hotel, they cater to conferences and meetings as well as group tours.

    View from the room, especially at night, was fantastic!!

    • This is a fine hotel, as most Radissons tend to be. It is a 15 minute walk from the city centre. It costs about DK 1145 per room (about Sing$300).

    Nothing particularly special for that amount of money in that hotel. The receptionist was not too helpful, even to the point of being rude. Not what you expect of a 4 * hotel.

    We've stayed in a lot of European hotels and I thought this hotel was good. Everything in our room was in working order and clean. The front desk staff was very helpful. When we checked in they said our room was ready, even though we were an hour early at 3PM.
    The bathroom was super clean, with the typical Euro look - short glass shower covering and marble walls and floor. We didn't have a great view ( consistent for my travels) but the interiors of the halls and the room were fine.
    There is an indoor swimming pool at this hotel, and I found it on their website after we stayed there. I didn't get a chance to use it but it looked fine. We were able to get some coffee in the lobby in the morning, no charge. The situation for the coffee was not really good. They did have some croissants there but even though we got there early they were gone. The coffee situation was not great. It was a machine that made one cup at a time - sort of.
    We walked at a brisk pace to Tivoli in 15 minutes. From there the entire downtown and big shopping area is just a 5 minute walk. We took the canal cruise on our free morning and walked back to the hotel from the dock of the cruise. That walk took about 20 minutes.
    It might take a little longer if you are not used to walking.
    Every place takes VISA - not necessarily AMEX. Everyone spoke to us in English.
    We found Copenhagen a very friendly place.

    There is a nice shopping area in the lobby of the Radisson SAS Scandinavia. But what really impressed me was how the hotel took care of our overnight carry-on luggage that we still had the morning we were waiting for the Princess Cruise people to pick us up. The front desk gave us tickets and tags for our luggage which they stored in the Cruise Pickup area. We were able to walk back downtown and take the Canal Cruise without the luggage and without any worry.
    If you're staying here for a cruise connection I would definitely say it's a good place to use for a day in Copenhagen.

    Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel; Denmarks biggest and very luxurious hotel. In Copenhagen Radisson SAS has 2 hotels; one in the centre of the city and one south of the water called Inderhavnen.

    There are 4 restaurants in the hotel and also a free fitnesscentre, which is located on the 4th floor.

    The breakfast is excellent, but be carefull with the too sweet apple-pie-like bread

    Breakfast as said, also the fitnesscentre is worth visiting.

    Furthermore this hotel has the only casino of the whole of Denmark in it.

    This hotel is a bit off-centered, its architecture is ugly the room is not that big. However my stay there was priceless!! Why? simply because they gave me a room on the 23d floor with a panoramic view on the city!! That was terrific!

    Now, if the room had another kind of view, I could have been complaining about the location of the hotel, it's along a big noisy boulevard outside the city. However by foot, you can already reach Christianshavn and from there the city center. The size of the room is quite small but it's very well furnished. The architecture is pretty basic, unfortunately, the usual big concrete tower, however if that's the price to pay to have this kind of view, I wouldn't hesitate a second!

    Besides that the bed was quite comfortable, the bathroom well designed, wireless Internet access was available for free, the breakfast buffet was quite good and I don't have to complain about the staff...

    That was a perfect combination for me, I'm definitely looking forward my next stay in this hotel!
