Lungby ideal for families
by SJ11 about Scandic Hotel Eremitage
Nice service, I would definetly choose it again if I were going for a family trip (not anytime soon) as it is a bit far from Copenhagen, takes you about 5 min to walk to the train station, and then you take train for about 15 minutes before you arrive in Copenhagen central station.
A taxi from downtown Copenhagen to the station cost roughly about 200 DK (local currency) It?s a very nice hotel with all necessary luxury, equipped with bathtub, iron board, coffee and tea making amenities, satellite tv, and pay per view, nice breakfast buffet even though they might label what you are eating there...;-), and fair price, it is a 3 star hotel but has a 4 star service.
It?s located in the Lyngby Storcenter wich is a the oldest mega mall in Denmark, you can take the elevator from your hotel corridor and it brings you straight to the shopping mall.

Scandic hotels
by DallasBoiler
Hello,
We will be travelling to Copenhagen next Summer and we were wondering what the Scandic hotels were like. I have some Hilton points I could use for free stays and wondered if anyone has stayed at any of the Scandic's in Copenhagen.
Thanks.

the scandic hotels are mid range places, normally 3 star hotels.
the one in copenhagen has a superb location, by the lakes, only 2 minutes walk from the main trainstation.

Hi,
The Scandic group have have some good hotels and some very good (Hilton standard). In general the hotels outside city centers are not the same high class as they in the city center, but still they have clean and good rooms and friendly staff.
In Copenhagen city I can really recommend Scandic Hotel Copenhagen wich is very good. It is located in 5 min walking distance from Tivoli and the train station.
Scandic are the preferred hotels in the company I work for and I have spent over 100 nights the last 10 years at Scandic hotels.
You can get more information about Scandic at http://www.scandic-hotels.com.
Hope you will enjoy your stay!

June 10-12?
by franb
Is there someting going on in Copenhagen this weekend- June 10-12? I just looked on some travel sights and all hotels are booked! I did reserve a room at the Scandic Hotel, but it is a little more than I would like to spend. Is this hotel in a good location? Also, we are traveling to Copenhagen from Stockholm. Any recommendations as to whether to fly or go by train? I am thinking the train would be a nice scenic trip? Thanks for any help!

train is a nice way to go if probaply a bit more expensive than plane.
if you decide to fly then this airline has cheap flights from copenhagen to stockholm:
