Most of the rooms have been conpletely refurbished including new bathrooms in the past two years and the rooms are decorated in Scandinavian style with nice furniture.
Apart from the very friendly staff - especially the receptionists who are really on their toes for you - the main attraction of the hotel is the overwhelming view of the Liim Fiord and city centre. If you do not mind heights, you should definately ask for a "parkside, upper floor room", as the side of the hotel facing the wonderful Kildeparken (Spring Park) is the most spectacular. From the restaurant on the 15ht floor where breakfast is served, on a clear day you can see as far as to Hals at the fiord end - some 30kms away! Spectacular.
The hotel features also a roof top terasse which, however, is usually closed to the public. But when asked politely, the staff are likely to open it for you, if it is not too windy.
Besides the benefits of the hotel as a ventage point, it also hosts a nice piano bar on the 15th floor with mantlepiece fire at night.

It is very conveniently located near the Ålborg Conference Center and it is right on a park that offers the possibility for a walk and relaxation. It is also only minutes away from the Musum of modern art, which was more than worth a visit and right across another park with sculptures.
For someone who is looking for a relatively quiet location, with a good in-house restaurant on the top floor of the hotel with a nice view of the park, and is interested in other activities or wants to combine the stay with some cultural intersts and relaxation, the Hvide Hus is very qualified.
It offers wireless internet, and for those who have laptops without this ability, they offer equipment to enable internet access in the guest rooms.
Another unique feature is that each room has 2 bathrooms. One equipt with a toilet and shower, and the other equipt with a bathtub. This can be very convenient when 2 persons are sharing the room and one want to take a long bath, while the other needs to use the toilet. I found that very practical.
