CAMPING MØNS KLINT: Møns beautiful campsite

Located in an area of great natural beauty with natural boundaries and variations in the terrain, the Camping Møns Klint site provides an outstanding opportunity for freedom and space that our guests appreciate. Upon arrival you can help stake out your own camping area, as the campsite is not split up into bays but naturally fitted into the terrain.

There are many caravan and tent areas at the site that are totally unique. Tent campers arriving by car or bicycle can pitch their tents in rustic, natural surroundings that are still within easy reach of facilities. The campsite is divided in two areaá, each on the left or right side of the road.
Also on the other site of the road there is a good sanitairbuilding complete with kitchen.

SPECIAL DOG FOREST

All dogs great and small love to run free in the forest. So we’ve opened a true dog forest on an area of land that is the equivalent of about 1,363 acres. It’s fenced in, and there are plenty of ditches, water, trees and space in which to romp and roll.

There are also benches for the humans, and when you return home with a happy, wet, muddy dog, we have a dog bath station with warm water near the information office in the main building.

We are very protective of the forest wildlife, so we are sorry to see loose dogs in the surrounding woods. As a matter of fact, unleashed dogs are not permitted in Mother Nature, and we ask that you respect this rule and thank you on behalf of all wild animals. On the other hand, the dog forest is dedicated to letting dogs be dogs – so here you can go ahead, let loose and enjoy!

For us it was the first time that we found a dog forest on a campingsite.

Bakkegård Gæstgiveri ( Bakkegard Gaestgiveri ): Close to Cliffs

The only things i can recommend about this place is, it is the closest thing we could find to the Mon Cliffs, it is located in Busene, and right next to where the bus brings you in from Stege! About 30 mts.
The place is very artistically pleasing and the rooms are painted by individual artists in individual styles.The views over the huge garden, countryside and the sea is fantastic.
We found the husband wife team to be very confusing. The lady Vivi, showed and checked us in and was fantastic from

start to finish, very nice hostess very helpful.
On the other hand the host ( Uffe ), when we asked to borrow a wine opener( for a wine we wanted to carry for a picnic and just wanted to open) told us rudely that there is no money to be made from that and refused us a corkscrew!!!! so go figure.

The meals are extra other than breakfast and everything extra is charged for. The quality was decent.
The bathroom is shared between 6 rooms, something that i can not get used to! But that is how how things work here and i personally think it is inadequate when the B&B is full as in summers.

I would stay here for location and not recommend it to foreigners for the the rudeness, if you are a Dane, then its good. If you get the drift.

Camping Møns Klint: Camping

Let's face it, you come here for the scenery so you might as well stay in the middle of it and camp. This is a three star camping which has won a Dutch award as one of Europe's best camp sites in 2006, the Dutch being the most frequent foreign guests. I have never stayed here myself but I just loved the setting and told myself to come back and do so. You are a 20 minute walk away from the cliffs and slightly longer to the Geo centre, and the campsite is amongst rolling hills in the forest, but still of course flat enough to park or pitch a tent :))) There is a shop and a restaurant with simple Danish food, and as for activities there is a swimming pool (you are 4 kms away from the nearest beach), tennis courts, mini golf and lots more as well as bike rental. You can also rent a horse nearby (see tip) or even bring your own to the campsite if you book early.

Should you loathe camping, there is a hostel just a few more metres down the scenic road to the cliffs (see second link).

Elmehøj offers the following :

- 23 rooms (50 beds), Elmehøj´s Café with food and drink ( liquor licensed )available when you need it, dining room, lounge rooms, tea kitchen, laundry, coin phone, T.V room, internet café and a big garden with a children's playground.
Rent the whole house for your next party and give your guests a rest from driving home.

In fact this is the most nice pansion in Møn and it is very close to the very popular Elmelunde white Church
