STAFF: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
BAR/RESTAURANT: The hotel includes a bar area, with only 1 beer on tap to choose from, and an OK selection of wines and liquors. The complementary drink you get is basically a Screwdriver. The hotel restaurant was quite good for dinner (see my separate restaurant review) and had an OK number of selections for the free breakfast buffet.
ROOM: Noting that this was my first European experience, I was a bit bothered by the small size of the shower and having to use generic body wash with no wash cloth (i.e. bring yourself a bar of soap!) Items in the room included an alarm clock radio, television, phone, shoe horn and bottle opener. The room electricity requires you to insert your room key-card in the slot, so ask for an extra card when you check in. Having a bottle opener is nice, but there is no fridge to keep your beer cold...speaking of, the grocery store in the mall next door has a great selection of cold beer available.
BUSINESS CENTER: The hotel guide says there is a business center available for a fee. However, I was able to use the room (one computer) to check my email free of charge.
OTHER: The old town area is a 10-15 minute cab ride and will cost 85-100 EEK each way.
