Puhkekeskus Haeska Mõis-Hotell: Birdwatchers roosting place

by MikeBird

A large 'Manor House' with extensive grounds that would appeal to groups of birdwatchers who are not too fussy about their luxuries.
The accommodation is perfectly comfortable, the rooms warm, breakfast plentiful, fresh and local with homemade jams. Wash, toilet and shower facilities are shared between two twin-bedded rooms.
At the top of the house is a large common room area with a CD player and a few board games and books.

I suggest you take ear plugs because if your neighbouring room mates snore you'll be kept awake because the walls are very thin.

Probably good value for money. Certainly a great location for birders.

Red Apple Apartments: apartment

by wild_wrose

we stayed in an apartment at 7 puhavaimu which is holy spirit street opposite the holy spirit church. this was 60 Euros per night and had a small terrace for those of us who still smoke. the only downside was a bad smell from the drains - the whole street had this smell - not sure if it's usual or not!

right inside the old town - quiet and rustic. we loved it

Radisson Blu Hotel Olympia: one of the best budget hotels we've stayed in

by mariahc1

We would definitely recommend this hotel because for a 4-star hotel, it was very cheap. It was located in the business center but the traditional old town was only a few minutes away. Breakfast was very rich, honestly, very rich and lunch/dinner consisted of delicious food. All people working there were very polite and the rooms were very spacious and clean.

There were 26 floors in the hotel so the view from our room was amazing. We could see the harbour very clearly. Moreover, the facilities were many: indoor pool, massage, solarium, beauty treatment as well as an underground disco.

Sokos Hotel Viru: Finnish people's favourite hotel

by pintti

I stayed here with two friends for one night. I was pleasantly surprised of the hotel, as it has a reputation in Finland to be a place where all the Finns go to get hammered and find women. Hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. Although I found it odd that you can only check in after 2pm, not a minute earlier. They do have a luggage room though, so it was not a problem. Our room was big, clean and quiet family room in the 13th floor with nice view over the harbour. It was very hot though, and the airconditioning could not be adjusted.

Breakfast was a very versatile continental breakfast, but there you could see that people staying at that hotel are the party people. Quite scruffy restaurant, but you can fill your tummy with loads of different things. Just don't mind the other travellers...

Try to get a room from the higher floors, the view is absolutely brilliant!

Sagadi Manor Hotel: Accommodation in manor hotel

by Ullike

Sagadi Manor situates at Lahemaa national Park and offers accommodation in 2 different buildings - hotel and hostel. Specially suggest hotel rooms with private terraces and bath in the room. There is nice restaurant as well!

If You like to enjoy holiday between the nature and good level accommodation, i would suggest Sagadi Manor hotel.

Hotel Noorouse, Kurressarre: The most comercial hotel on Sareemaa island

by kevincollins

Our stay at this hotel was very amusing, it was very clean and quite friendly and was a good base for discovering the island of Saareema.

I would certainly reccommend it to others because of the above and also because of rigidness of the proprietor. This was very much the way of the Estonian culture which gets my sense of humour. For example there was no washing clothes in the room but we did it anyway, I know that I I knew he would have been really upset.

We found it easy to meet people there and met a nice French coupe who travelled with us by car around the island and some Canadians.

The breakfast was excellent and it was great to hear the proprietor's first hand knowledge of living under Stalin and his take on the differences between the Nazi's and the Soviets. He had some great stories to tell.

His kitchen was almost a library filled with books dating back to before the 1st Soviet occupation in the 30s onwards. He would be most keen to share his knowledge with you and answer questions about hs collection.

About the house itself, well its better than anything I've ever lived in, as the older generation may believe that they live in shanty towns.

Its a hotel with a difference and well reccomended by us. Decent price 4 what u get.

Hotel Comfort Oru

by wightlion

A very pleasant stay in the hotel over the last weekend of Janurary of this year

Smart new hotel of the outskirts of Tallinn situated near the grounds of the lovely Kadriog palace.
The hotel is within walking distance of the old town, say a good half hours walk, but some of those who have walking difficaulties may wish to book a taxi from reception which the staff happily did for you

Reception was very functionable with swift check in by the staff
Small bar serves coffee and beer

Rooms are comfortable with a nice bathroom with walk-in shower

Breakfast was good with the usual european fayre, meats, cheeses ,omlettes etc etc

If I ever get the oppertunity to visit Tallinn again I would choose to stay at this hotel
however as I say it is a little way from the City centre and those wanting to be right oin the Tallinn old town doorstep should maybe go for another hotel.
