Barclay Hotel, Tartu, Estonia - Reviews and Hotel Information

There's a very nice old house feel at this elegant but smallish hotel. It's fully renovated and the rooms are neat and clean. All rooms are individually different. We even had a small sofa in our twin, which was nice. However, the elevator caused us headaches as the button to the fourth floor didn't work most of the time. We had to go to the fifth and walk down one flight.

Very peaceful and quiet during the night so we could sleep undisturbed.

Be sure to ask for a room to the street side (Ulikooli) because the view to the other side is not very nice, at least from the lower floors.

The building used to be the head quarters of the Red Army! It's only been a hotel since 1995.

The breakfast was just ok, nothing special. There seemed to be a shortage of teaspoons.
