Hotel Vila Silia: A cheap and nice hotel in Skopje

A very lovely hoten in a quit safe neighborhood, around a 10 minute walk away from the city center. It's not too expensive yet it's clean and the staff is quite friendly. To every hotel room belongs a small bathroom and a TV. There's no air conditioning(or at least I don't remember) but judging from the weather there's no need to have one. Free wifi is available.

The rooms are nice and you can take as many bottles of soda as you want, for free:)

RM is located at the heart of Ottoman part of SKOPJE. It's close to flea market and historical places such as, Kursinli An-inn, mosques, clock tower, Kapan An-inn etc.

This hotel is ideal for short stay in Skopje. It is situated in the centre of town ,about 5 minutes walk from the main square and the stonebridge. This is an old hotel that has seen better days, but it is clean, friendly staff, value for money, the creeky wooden floors add to the charm. The bus/train station is about 1 km, a taxi ride is a resonable fare by meter. Walking by , the hotel is hidden by a large tree. The building has small hotel sign. In Sept 2009 a single room with breakfast was 2500 den, or 42 euro. In my main picture of hotel the sign on th lamp pole is not the hotel sign, in entrance picture the small blue plaque is the hotel sign.

CONGRESS CENTRE: an excellent choice

This place is actually property of the University Ss Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, but even though it is called Congress Centre, they are open for commercial use.
It has been completely renovated about a year ago and it really is wonderful. It's not a huge hotel, the rooms are nice, and a lot of them have a marvelous view of the Ohrid Lake. There is a nice little park in front of the hotel, leading to an even nicer path suitable for long walks.

You can consult the web page for the prices. Though I thought that they were quite low compared to what the place offers.
