Penzioner (Keki): Avoid!

This hotel/pension is close to the bus station and located at the river Bregalnica.

Restaurant Keki is in the same building. On Saturdays it is possible that there are wedding parties in the restaurant, which usually get quite noisy.

Most of the other people that stayed here left their shoes and socks outside their rooms, and the stench was overwhelming. It was almost impossible to get to our room without having to gag. The rooms are quite noisy, our neighbors woke us up at 06.00 am with loud music...

The room was pretty old fashioned and dirty. The trash in the bathroom was not emptied and there was a pubic hair on the toilet seat, the room obviously had not been cleaned.

The bathroom was below all standards, no place to put your stuff but on the floor, no standard to hold the shower-head, a sink that was really dirty, and did i already mention the pubic hair?

The room cost 400 MKD per person, almost 7 euros. We stayed here for two days and they tried to let us pay 2000 MKD, which was 400 MKD too much. We of course refused.

Maybe you are better off renting e.g. a room above the Life Cafe (N41.70608 E22.85680) at the town square, when we asked there the rooms were 450 MKD per person and the rooms are new.

Cabins at the Malesevo Recreation Centre: Sleep by the lake...

There are very simple cabins on the lake at the Malesevo recreation center. They aren't expensive, but it is sometimes hard to get a reservation! I can understand why:)

A very quiet peaceful location with a restaurant and plenty of good hiking nearby. Not to mention fishing!
