Ohrid
I stayed at this hotel 2 nights. It was quite good. İt needs some renovation. There is no elevator and nobody helps you if you have a luggage.
It's location is GREAT. You are at the center of Ohrid. İt is easy to go everywhere.

Hotel Riviera
Stay at the hotel was cool, breakfast was soo good and very domestic, I can still remeber it. Especially was very good after breakfast, when you can go straight into the park, which is 10 meters from the hotel which have a beautiful view of the lake, and there you can be in your peace and have a moment to think what will you continue to do that day. The rooms and a bathroom are on on level 2stars but hotel is inexpensive and safe.

Hotel Riviera
With its name written only in unforgiving Cyrillic, the Hotel Riviera is an old communist favourite. Today it is popular with visiting Serbian tour groups, who can be prone to party to turbo folk until the early hours. The good thing about the hotel is that it is cheap, clean and has fantastic views. The suites at the front directly overlook the lake, and the front side rooms have balconies with great views too. Even those stuck at the back get to look out over old Ohrid.
It suffers from typical communist era foibles, like ill fitting curtains and bizarre half-size cotton sheets as small at a hand towl. I had to steal the bed sheet from the spare bed to have a cotton sheet to lie under. The cleaning lady soon got the idea and began tucking it in for me after she brought new sheets. Maybe I started a new trend.
The staff are friendly, the breakfast is big, but it can get a bit noisy, especially under the terraces at the front. But this is typical of all central hotels in Ohrid.
Unique Quality: Lakeside.

Hotel Riviera
My stay here was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The restaurant served great food and drink with an excellent view of the lake and pedestrian traffic. There is not much in the way of amenities, but I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. I should say that only the luxury apartments have direct views of the lake, the lake can be seen from other rooms but only by leaning over the balcony slightly. Cost for a standard room was $56/night when I was there.

Avoid this hotel!
Despite the sweet disposition of the reception desk ladies the service sucks big time! The waiters are impolite and when they understood that we prepaid our meals they made us wait almost a full hour just to be served a piece of cold meat. We have paid for a room with a view - no such was available at our arrival. The bathroom was nice - twenty years ago :)! At 46 EUROs you could manage a lot better at Ohrid...I'm reading right now the favourable tips of other pals on Riviera Hotel and my eyes are popping out!
Unique Quality: The unique tilt/angle of the lavatory pan - 10 degrees to the right :)
Also regardless of the fact the the hotel is situated on the lakeside street a surprisingly small number of the rooms have a view!

As cozy as it gets
A great small hotel with nice rooms & balconies looking over the lake & Albanian snowy mountains! It has a great restaurant with great personnel, so we used to hang there all the time. Really great! :)

a cozy little hotel
this is one of the most beautiful little hotels that i've been to! it's not anything fancy or expensive, but for a 3*** hotel it's really good. the service is great, everybody is so unbelievably nice! they make you feel so at home there that you never want to leave. and the food is fantastic!
i don't know what the prices are like...
Unique Quality: the ambience is really beautiful, especially the bar and the terrace. it has a wonderful view of the lake.

Another very nice location
The "Riviera" hotel is situated in the centre of Ohrid, near the port. It offers 90 beds, a restaurant with 146 seats, and a summer terrace with 140 seats

There's a small hotel ...
We stayed here with our students in the summer of 2000. It was nicely situated on the promenade next to the much larger Palace Hotel.
Unique Quality: The suites in the front had nice views of the the lake. We hung out on the terrace bar in the evenings.

A: "MacedonianUK will have the answer to that(Florina to Ohrid)...but others may answer. You can certainly still get a bus from Ohrid to Bitola (May 2011)"
