The hotel is very modern, spotlessly clean, and the staff are very freindly. The rooms are bigger than most I've found in Europe. There is free wireless internet througout, and because it is billed as a "business hotel", there are facilities to meet all your needs. There is a gymnasium, complete with pool, saunas, solarium, and juice bar in the basement. They actually film a local yoga television show there, if you are wondering how nice it is. Breakfast is included and is very good, and can be delivered to your room on request. The staff are polite, very helpful, and onubtrusive. Best of all, the rates are significantly lower than the Holiday Inn or Best Western, and I think the hotel is much more comfortable. It is located in the city center, within walking distance of all the shopping, dining, and attractions.
Unique Quality: The TCC is small, with about 20 rooms, giving it more of an exclusive, "boutique" feel. I have stayed there several times, and have never had to wait in line for anything. The staff is very attentive! During my first stay, I left my room for about 20 minutes, and when I came back, the entire room had been made up and cleaned. I was tempted to look under the bed to see if they kept a maid under there!

'TCC PLAZA' -Service Apartments
It is in the center of the city,it's new,it's clean,luxurios,
Most of all it's that you feel like"Home".....
Unique Quality: Among all the hotels in Skopje,there is a new recently open (4 years)in the Center of the city.
Actualy this is a business center 'TCC PLAZA'-Service Apartments,located in the very same center of the city.
The hotel is located on the 3rd & 4th floor,on the other floors you can find bank,rastaurant,boutique shops,excange office,rent a car,travel agency,gift shop,space to rent etc.....
The accomodation is luxurios but supricely the prices are very convenient for every foreigner who comes here.I can say the prices are real than the bigest hotels Like 'Alexander Palace' or 'Holliday inn' and you still get a bigger room,free breakfast,free parking,free coffe,free internet etc.....
All you have to do is to contact with managment about the cooperate rate and offer for cooperation with which you can get discount on all prices.

bus or train from skopje to okhrid
Bus - there is no railway to Ohrid. See http://www.sas.com.mk for timetables. Most buses take the road via Kicevo, one or two take the road via Bitola which takes longer.
It should be about 10-15 euros by bus, and it is quite a comfortable ride with a stop half-way if you travel via Kicevo (Never went through Bitola before).

Just went to Ohrid last weekend. The bus schedule is not posted in English on the website, but you can click on a couple of buttons in Macedonian and get to the schedule. What the schedule doesn't say is where the bus stops on each trip. As another comment said, make sure you get on the trip that DOES NOT go to Bitola. It will take you at least an hour or more longer that way. Also, the trip is pretty, so go during the day. First buses leave at 6am, I think, leaving about every two hours. The bus station in Ohrid is a little ways out from where you'll want to be. Taxi fare shouldn't be more than 150denari. We stayed at a place where the owners came and got us. They waited even though the bus was 30min late. They are Apartment Rosana-right on the water in the old town. Great people and place! About 30euro/night. You can find cheaper accomodations if you need to. Also, bus is between 670den and 870 rd trip from Skopje.
When the Greek supermarket chain, Vero, opened its first store in Skopje everythone though that would be the end of the Macedonian chain, Tinex. Far from it. They are both thriving. This Vero is on the ground floor of the city shopping center.
A group of fans of Vardar were seperated from Komiti for several reasons and established their own fan group called "Loyal Fans". They are located at the northern part of Gradski Stadion (City Stadium).
