Tourist apartments in Helsinki

We are looking for a good centrally located apartment (2 - 3 star) in Helsinki. We are both in our mid 60's. We have Googled the net which has produced several likely ones and now would like the input of someone that has actually stopped there.

Renting an apartment in Helsinki

Hi there,

I'm looking to rent a furnished one bedroom apartment in Helsinki for about 3 months from early September. Does anyone have any tips on what areas of Helsinki I should avoid (if any), where to get information on apartments (I don't understand Finnish) and how much I should expect to pay for them. I would really appreciate any advice.

In Helsinki prices are starting from about 400 euro for a small single room apartment.
There is no places in Helsinki that should be avoid, not if you come here for 3 months, the closer to the center it is the more expensive it will be.
In suburbs, it can be even half price then the center.

Q: Do busses run to the airport 24/7? If not, what time do they start? "I need to get to the airport by 6 AM on Sunday (so I probably need to get on the bus around 5:30 AM), will the 615 or the Finnair..."

A: "I walked down to where the 615 departs from but I didn't see any type of time-schedule listed anywhere. :/"
