Very well located
If you travel on budget don't look for anything better. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, reasonably priced, with good breakfast. One thing I'd complain is poor linen(too small) and next time I'd take my own.

Very Basic, not really suitable
I was travelling as part of a group of four, and we booked the room for four people with bunkbeds. The price I think was 90 Euros a night for the room. The room was small, really only the size of a small single room in a hotel, with 2 bunk beds and a fridge and a TV in the corner. The bunk beds were basically a frame with a bed on top, and a free standing bed underneath. The underneath beds were OK, but the top bunks were not very stable, they wobbled a lot , and it took some bravery and agility to climb the ladder. Really only suitable for children I would say. I wasn't sure if the bedding on the beds had been washed or not.
Breakfast was included, and that was good. There was a TV room where breakfast was served, but that was locked at night, so we had no common room.
Location was good, just outside the city centre.
I wouldn't really recommend this room for four adults. However, it did have four beds which is unusual, sometimes rooms for 4 adults actually are a double bed and 2 single beds.
Unique Quality: Offers 4 bed rooms.

Best located hostel
Plenty of good food for breakfast to give you enough energy for the whole day! Large rooms with TV and noisy fridge but you can turn it off (that's what we did!). The bathrooms are in the corridor but you have a sink in all rooms. It was warm enough in the cold winter and you wouldn't be annoyed by the noise of the city and/or your neighbours (well if it's not a couple of course!).
Unique Quality: The reception is open 24/7, no curfew and Jurijs is alway ready to help you. He even ordered a taxi for us to go the airport at 4.30 in the morning!!!! That was very nice of him. And the hostel is only 10 walking minutes away from city centre.

Hostelling in the heart of the Capital
They offer rooms with one or two beds for a very good price. All of the 25 rooms are turned to backyard so they are very quiet and peaceful. There is a television, a fridge and a sink in every room, showers are in the corridor. Also bed linen, towels and breakfast are included in the price. There's no curfew, but 24 hour reception.
Unique Quality: If you go to this hostel by car, prepare for the - let's call it - "not-that-relaxed" parking situation. There's parking for four hours during daytime in about 15 minutes walking distance from the hostel, which means, that you have to extend your parking ticket every four hours ... by getting there. But well, that's the point, if you're located in the very heart of a city.

Lönnrot Hostel and Cafe
A room for one 42 € (35 USD), for two 57 € (48 USD).
Unique Quality: Lönnrot hostel is located in the downtown and because the rooms aren't towards the street the trafic noise is harmless. Every room has a TV, radio, telephone and refrigerator. The bathrooms and WC's are shared.

Questions and Answers
Q: Do busses run to the airport 24/7? If not, what time do they start? "I need to get to the airport by 6 AM on Sunday (so I probably need to get on the bus around 5:30 AM), will the 615 or the Finnair..."
A: "I walked down to where the 615 departs from but I didn't see any type of time-schedule listed anywhere. :/"
