Good choice for accommodation
Hotel Vaakuna is a basic hotel of the Sokos hotels chain, so it's nothing luxurious, but a good choice if you're coming to Kouvola. The location is a bit away from the centre but it's only a 5-10 minutes walk so it doesn't really matter. The hotel is situated next to the central Lutheran church of Kouvola and there's also a nice little park next to the hotel.
The hotel has a cosy restaurant, Fransmanni, which is specialized in French cuisine. Pls see my review on the restaurant tips.
Unique Quality: Hotel Vaakuna has a nice sauna department, which I just recently visited. They have 3 private saunas which all include a jacuzzi.
