There is at least one spa hotel in Tampere, it's part of Holiday Club chain. Name of the hotel is "Lapinlahti Hotel / Spa" and here is a direct link: http://www.holidayclub.fi/english/tampereen_kylpyla_etusivu.html.

15 kms from Tampere is a town called Nokia, and there's another spa hotel.

There is cool toga-parties in Rantasipi Spa, Nokia ;o)
But nothing much else. My tip for you is to stick with Tampere, but if you get bored with the city just email me and I'll show you the best places have a drink.
