    • Most people are staying in campsites during the summer either in a cottage or own tent. There is generally no restrictions on wildcamping, so that can be a very nice experience in summer. This also means that the hotel tend to drop the prices during the summer.

    • In Lapland we didn't find much hotels, we normally rented "hytter" for 1 night, they are mostly near the water and cost 50 euro.

    In the "Hytter" is everything included, kitchen bathroom and also Tv and sauna.There are no shop , so you have to bring your own food.

    • We stayed in what is called summer homes, which is really student rooms which are rented out in the summer. Every room had two beds, a kitchen area and its own bathroom, it was actually alright it did us for 3 weeks. Me and my room mate even put up our on posters.
    The only thing was where we were staying was right opposite the college so it was noisy in the morning, but the great thing was it had a sauna.

    • The sokos hotels are very good. Again no bargain but you get an excellent hotel with sauna.

    • We stayed at the Holiday Inn Congress Center. Very nice, clean and modern hotel. Walking distance to train which takes you downtown. Short drive from downtown Helsinki.

    Large Rooms. Nice bathrooms. Nice meeting space.

    • Hotelli Finn was cheap at only £42 a night for 2 people. It has a fantastic location, only 2 minutes walk from the main centre of Helsinki.
    About 430 FIM

    The price and quality are its selling points, sadly it does have a pool or serve food though.
