bus number

by shaftak

Hi
I want to go to tavastagatan 13 from Emmauksenkatu. which bus number should I use?

There are buses number 14, 15, 55, 56 available at Emmauksenkatu.

Re: bus number

You'll find this site useful for public transport in Turku: http://reittiopas.turku.fi/#mapcenter%28kkj3*3239687*6713798%29/default.aspx?nodeid=11916

Note the Finnish-language name of Tavastegatan is Hämeenkatu. Enter Emmauksenkatu as departure point - that's Lähtöpaikka on the route finder page - and Hämeenkatu as destination i.e. Määräpaikka. Then enter your time and date, and the rest is easy. Evidently buses 14 and 15 will get you there.

Travel Tips for Turku

The province of the Western Finland

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

The province of the Western Finland is a special, Sweden-Finnish part of the country - first of all, from the point of view of history and culture as it is located close to Sweden though has no overland border with it.

They say that the most part of the population speaks in-sweden there, and settlements have two names - Finnish and Swedish, and Swedish is used more often.

Stroll along the river

by Sjalen

To see some of the more beautiful parts of Turku, get down to the river Aura and see the Forum Marinum with its ships, the restaurant boats, the cathedral and just the generally nice and green atmosphere. You can walk all the way to/from the harbour if you like.

Stroll along the river Aura

by HORSCHECK

Stroll along the river Aura which is one of the best ways to explore the town. Between the Cathedral in the east and Turku Castle in the west many interesting old buildings and museums can be found. Near the Castle is the Forum Marinum with a few museum boats including a vessel and a minelayer.

Ruisrock

by Scandic

Sun, music and young people - feel the Ruisrock. Fans of rock music come to Ruissalo every summer to visit the oldest rock festival in the Nordic countries, Ruisrock, held ever since 1969.
Ruissalo is beautiful island, about 7 kilometers from Turku city. Ruisrock is a legend among Finnish people and many things that it's the best festival in Finland. I have been there twice and I have really enjoyed.
Under years Ruisrock has hosted such world-class artists as U2, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, David Bowie, Sting, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nick Cave, Pet Shop Boys, Blur, Björk, Beastie Boys, Blondie, Massive Attack, Metallica and many more. Check good homepages of Ruisrock

The Crash

by Scandic

The Crash, one of the best band in Finland comes from Turku. The Crash, made by three guys, is quite famous also in Middle-Europe. No wonder, they make good music and a vocalist Teemu Brunila has a amazing voice.
You should check their homepages www.thecrash.com and listen to wonderful songs like Sugared and New York. Plus, Teemu Brunila is no doubt one of the sexiest men in the world.
