Inari camping: Cabin at camping site 2003

    We arrived in Inari late in the afternoon , August 2003 after leaving Kuusamo (or better say the luxury cabin in Ruka) in the morning. We wanted to find a nice cabin like we had slept in at Ruka the previous night, but Inari doesn't have luxury cabins. We had to put up with not so good cabin at Inari camping site, but we slept the night ok, managed to cook a meal in the minimal kitchen that the cabin had and continued to Norway, %L[

    • Bar, excellent food, sauna from 16 to 19 h every day. Staff charming and helpful. Calm area with possibilities for outdoor fun.

    Forest and snow all around, river runs by. Probably great in summer too

    The Riekonlinna Hotel is a first-class four-star holiday hotel at Saariselkä in Finnish Lapland.     This is as far as I know the only real hotel here.
    It is located in the middle of the village. But don’t expect to have peace of time here, during the midsummer festivals people are partying here all night long (even that the sun is shining)

    Nice hotel. Cozy rooms. Next to a river.

    The hotel fascilities include a comfortable lounge with open fire place and a library with internet connection. Sometimes you can enjoy Joiku-singing in there.

    Cheap place to stay. The rooms are very small. Restaurant downstares. Hotel Inari is situated on the shore of lake Inari at the heart of Inari village, along road E-75.

    To be honest, I wasn't the one paying, so I have no idea what the place costs. What I do know is that I had a great experience. The food was excellent and the people friendly. The rooms did not have a luxurious style, but were large and clean.

    The hotel is located next to a river, with nature trails, allowing for great photo opportunities, not to mention a relaxing "I'm on vacation with natural environment" atmosphere during breakfast. Quite enjoyable.

    I've been staying here for a night in the past 2 years, the camping itself is not that good but the location is perfect. Just a minute walk by the Inari lake.
