Our stay at the Hullu Poro, or Crazy Reindeer, was very comfortable. We were in one of the cheaper rooms in a block near the restaurants which meant we had shared sauna facilities rather than a private one in our room. We stayed half board and booked with inghams who booked us into a twin despite us booking as a couple but that wasn't a big issue, more annoyed with inghams but thats another story ;)
We would definitly go back to the hotel and recommend it, rooms were basic but comfortable. We liked the fact that we got selfcatering facilities as well so we could but some extras to keep in the fridge.
We enjoyed the spa in the main hotel alot and the saunas there were very relaxing. The gym was also well equipped and usually deserted. We had a massage during our time here but probably wouldn't try that again as it seemed very clinical rather than relaxing.
The food was always varied and we were happy to just try things if there were something unlabled. The soups especially were very tastey. We did have an issue after our third day or so here that we had to start bringing in our key cards as we had not done this from the start so a heads up to bring it with you to save going out in the cold again :)
Unique Quality: The Hullu Poro has a number of facilities including Areena, a nightclub/events location which guests get a discount into. Many Finnish locals go here for a good night out so its somewhere to try during your stay (we were always shattered after a long day and too cold to que to get in, but ques are usually a good sign!)
Taivas restaurant looked a bit special as well, with the nightsky dotted with twinkling lights represented on the celing. We didn't have the money on this trip to eat in anything other than the half board restaurant but there were plenty of other to try each with a different feel to them.
Directions: Hullu Poro is located in the center of Levi near the slopes
