    Holiday cabins and cmping.
    Sauna 3 times a week included in price. Reduced camping charges 1 Sept - 31 May

    Camping: € 14,30 per night per family.

    The Radisson SAS is perfect with its location in the centre just by the sea.
    However, service might be slow and they might even give you the wrong room ;-)
    W-Lan is free and this tip been update actually from the room :)))

    • The Ramada Hotel Oulu is pleasantly situated in the centre of the town, in a beautiful location next to the Ainola Park and the Cathedral. The individually-designed rooms and the handsome inner courtyard add to your enjoyment.

    • I can't help you. I always lived to my brother. If you want I can give you his telephone number.
    Anyway, the hotels are very beautiful and I suppose very confortable.
    Once, I took accomodation in a camping when I went to visit North Kape. It was cleany and confortable. I recommend it.

    • Some 12 euro... a wild guess. But it can't come much more expensive that this.

    A pleasant, comfy, inexpensive place with so much room that you can easily have a whole room for yourself for the price of a dorm bed. A pub in the cellar is also cool. A downside: it's open only in summer (June to August, I guess). In September it turns back into a student home.

    • It is pretty difficult to find furnished apartments in Oulu if you do not have support by a company. During my research, at that time I did not know that I will get help, I found the company Forenom. They provide rooms fully furnished. Myself I have not been customer, but it might be a help.

    • Hotelli Lasaretti is located a couple of kilometers off the centre of Oulu, in Lasaretinsaari island above the Oulu hydrodam. The island was owned by Finnish military forces and was closed for the public until end on 20th century.

    The hotel has been carefully renovated to old red brick buildings. The rooms are located on a separate building next to the lobby. They are airy, clean and fresh, and riverside rooms have splendid view to the Oulu river. There are also salmon steps just next to the hotel, so you may see fishes jumping upstream.

    The hotel has very good table and chairs for using laptop, and WLAN is available on the whole hotel. The breakfast, as usual in Finnish hotels, in excellent. The hotel is worth the price, but you may need to take cab to the centre and back. The walk goes through lush gardens, but you may get lost...

    • I stayed there in the summer of 2003 and the interiors were clean, albeit a bit lacking in personality. I think I paid 35 euros a night, which is not too much for what you get. The hotel has a 24h kiosk and is right in front of the railway station. Since Oulu doesn't really have a hostel, it acts as such, attracting interesting crowds.

    Very near the station, cheap, clean, breakfast room, shower in each room.
