The Radisson SAS is perfect with its location in the centre just by the sea. However, service might be slow and they might even give you the wrong room ;-) W-Lan is free and this tip been update actually from the room :)))
Radisson SAS Oulu is very centrally located business hotel near the waterfront in "the capital of northern Finland", Oulu. The building itself is a prime example of Finnish concrete brutalism architecture, and it was planned to be a part of the monumentalist city centre of Oulu. Two other buildings of the same style are found as well around the market square: Oulu theater and the library of Oulu.
Nowadays these buildings are not considered very pretty, but fortunately the hotel interiors have gone through a complete overhaul. The rooms are very spacious and they have the best workplace that I have ever seen in any hotel. There is enough light to read papers without straining your eyes, the table is spacious for spreading things around and the chair is comfortable. The arrangement beats the usual miniscule table and lousy chair combinations.
The room has a good selection of ameneties, also bathrobes that tend to be missing in most of the Finnish hotels. The breakfast is excellent and the service is really swift on all aspects. The only minus comes from the steep price, the hotel can be twice as expensive as the other hotels in the city.
Radisson Sas Hotel Oulu: Make it cheap- take the suite for 6!

I really dig this brutal monumentalism

We made a roadtrip to Oulu, and found out its almost cheapest to accomadate 6 big men in suite, than to get a cheap and depressing motel. Location is a bit outskirts of the grid-plan city. View is nice to the monumental center of the 1970s.
