Raahe - Colored houses

As a weekend trip I visited Raahe, which is about 70 km southwest of Oulu. It is a pretty, but very quiet (especially not touristic) town. I went there really not prepared as tourist, in the meaning of reading about the place. As there surely will be more chances for me during my year in Oulu I will certainly read the great pages about the historic Raahe before driving there next time. But it was a great time there, as it probably looks much different in wintertime with the snow in the streets between the light colored houses.
My recommendations for are to park your car somewhere close to the shopping area in doentown and from there heading forward towards the church. This area is the historic part. A nice view offers also the street leading through old Raahe towards the school.
