Musée Bartholdi by Binegars1990
Statue of Liberty sculptor Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi was born in Colmar in 1834. This small, memento-filled museum is in the house where he was born. It has Statue of Liberty rooms containing plans and scale models, and documents related to its construction and other works regarding U.S. history. Bartholdi's Paris apartment, with furniture and memorabilia, has been reconstructed here. The museum supplements its exhibits with paintings of Egyptian scenes that Bartholdi collected during his travels in 1856.
