Geisberg wines

Geisberg wines have been commercialised since ancient times, but the first written reference to this site dates from 1308, according to the historian Barth,
and it is listed among the original named vineyards catalogued by H. Erhart in his study of the Alsace vineyards published in 1939.
Typical characteristics :
An excellent wine to keep, Riesling Alsace Grand Cru Geisberg in time attains a powerful body, an elegant bouquet, and the celebrated "taste of old Riesling" which is greatly sought-after by connoisseurs.
Kirchberg wines

Mentioned for the first time in 1328 by the famous historian Medard Barth, the Kirchberg is located on one of the finest sites. Wines produced on this slope have long been commercialised with the Kirchberg appellation.

Great finesse and well-structured body : Alsace Grand Cru Kirchberg wines share an elegant bouquet, which develops remarkable aromas with time, distinctive of calcareous marl soil.
Osterberg wines

Long renowned, the Osterberg is mentioned in documents dating from the Middle Ages, when the nobles of Ribeau-pierre owned vineyards on this slope.The Osterberg is ideally suited to Riesling, Gewurztraminer and to Tokay Pinot Gris.
Typical characteristics :
A wine which ages particularly well, the Riesling develops a powerful body, an aroma of great finesse and the famous "old Riesling" taste. The Gewurztraminer and Tokay Pinot Gris are rich and powerful, with lots of elegance and finesse. They also will age extremely well.
The Charming Town of Ribeauvillé

Ribeauvillé is a charming small town in Alsace, located less than 100 km south of Strasbourg and 13 km north of Colmar (another very beautiful city in the area). It´s situated in the Wine Route and famous for its grand crus wines, mainly the riesling ones. There are a few nice places where one can taste and (of course) buy these excellent wines. The town itself is very small, but it does have a picturesque alsacian charm that will certainly conquer you.
I really enjoyed the day I spent in Ribeauvillé!!!
